Lucifer‘s ongoing second season just got a little longer: Fox has ordered an additional nine episodes of the series, which brings the show’s total season 2 order to 22 episodes.

The DC Comics-inspired show stars Tom Ellis as the Devil himself, who teams up with LAPD detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) to take down criminals. However, that partnership will hit a bit of a snag in Monday’s Halloween-themed episode, which finds Chloe teaming up with Dan (Kevin Alejandro) after she and Lucifer clash during an investigation.

This season, Lucifer has been averaging 8.0 million multi-platform total viewers. “Lucifer continues to deliver, with great blasts of dark humor and ambitious storytelling. The show has turned out to be a true wicked pleasure, the perfect companion to Gotham, and we couldn’t be more pleased to order these nine additional episodes,” David Madden, the president of entertainment at Fox, said in a press release.

Lucifer airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Fox.
