Thor: Ragnarok wraps production
Director Taika Watiti announced the news via Facebook Live
Thor: Ragnarok is one step closer to completion. The third installment of Marvel’s film series starring Chris Hemsworth as a hammer-wielding Asgardian demigod is wrapping production in Australia today, director Taika Waititi announced in a Facebook Live stream.
In the 14-minute video, Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows, Hunt for the Wilderpeople) traipses through the set, offering brief glimpses of costumed extras, exotic weapons, piles of cosmic junk, and an “exclusive Ragnarok emblem,” the meaning of which will be revealed in the near future.
He also crosses paths with Hemsworth, who laments not being able to reveal any secrets — “We can’t say anything about where we are, and you’re not allowed to tell anyone what you’ve seen,” he says — and costar Tessa Thompson, who jokes that her face paint is leftover from Coachella.
While plot details have largely been kept under wraps, Waititi recently teased that Ragnarok “will be one of the most adventurous and most ‘out there’ of all the Marvel movies.”
The film is scheduled to hit theaters Nov. 3, 2017. Watch Waititi’s video below.
