He’s making a list and checking it twice, he’s gonna find out who’s naughty and nice… Kevin Hart is coming to town.

The comedian is in talks to star in Disney’s new family comedy Dashing Through the Snow, EW has confirmed. The project will follow a workaholic New York City detective who struggles to connect with his son, only for Santa Claus (played by Hart) to show up and help him believe in Christmas magic.

Rob Burnett is writing the script based on an original idea by Scott Rosenberg, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported the news, the story’s tone is being compared to Liar Liar and Elf. William Packer (Ride Along) and John Jacobs (Ted) are producing, and there is no director yet.

Hart has had a busy year, starring in Ride Along 2, Central Intelligence, and The Secret Life of Pets and releasing his new stand-up special Kevin Hart: What Now? He’s currently shooting the Jumanji reboot with Dwayne Johnson and Jack Black.
