Decemberists' Crane Wife reissue to feature Lin-Manuel Miranda essay
The Decemberists’ The Crane Wife is getting a 10th anniversary reissue featuring a foreword from a special fan: Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The limited edition box set has five LPs including B-sides, outtakes, bonus tracks, alternate versions, and solo acoustic demos. Also included is a Blu-ray of The Decemberists: Live at the 9:30 Club 2006 and a booklet with the foreword from Miranda and liner notes from Rolling Stone‘s David Fricke. The first 500 copies will be signed by the band.
The Crane Wife was the band’s major label debut. Their latest album was 2015’s What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World.
