The long-awaited documentary Hamilton’s America aired Friday night on PBS, showing behind-the-scenes footage from the hit, multi-Tony winning musical and digging into the real lives of the historical figures involved. Lin-Manuel Miranda was watching right along with audiences.

The creator and former star of the smash Broadway musical live-tweeted commentary for the 90-minute documentary. Miranda praised the guests on the doc, revealed the history of certain wardrobe items, and shed more light on his life at the time. Such as the evolution of his fixer-upper apartment he and his wife Vanessa Adriana Nadal bought.

“Listen to the untuned disgrace that is my piano,” Miranda tweeted. Nadal added: “This unfinished apartment gives me heartburn.”

Miranda cheered on his former castmates and gave deep insight into his original drafts: “‘Shooty shooty shooty shot.’-rough draft, 2014” he joked.
