Laurie Holden battled zombies for three seasons on The Walking Dead, but now she will take on an even tougher job — Stan Beeman’s (Noah Emmerich) love interest on The Americans, EW has confirmed.

Holden, who starred as the feisty Andrea on The Walking Dead across 35 episodes, has signed on for a recurring role on season 5 of the FX spy drama starring Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys. On the Emmy-nominated series, the actress will play Renee, a woman new to D.C. who takes an interest in the unlucky-in-love FBI agent.

Stan’s previous romantic ventures haven’t gone well for the women involved; his previous relationships on the FX series have ended in divorce and treason.

Since exiting The Walking Dead, Holden has made guest appearances on Major Crimes and Chicago Fire. She also had a prominent role in Dumb and Dumber To.

The Americans returns for its fifth and penultimate season in early 2017.

TVLine first reported the news.
