On the same night Donald Trump said “nobody has more respect for women than I do” — a comment that drew some laughs from the debate audience — the Republican presidential nominee slammed his opponent Hillary Clinton as a “nasty woman” during the third and final presidential debate.

Trump’s comment came while Clinton was discussing social security and her plan to add money to the program. “I am on record as saying that we need to put more money in the social security trust fund,” Clinton said. “That’s part of my commitment to raise taxes on the wealthy. My social security payroll contribution will go up, as will Donald’s — assuming he can’t figure out how to get out of it.”

Trump responded to the dig by saying, “Such a nasty woman.”

Clinton did not reference Trump’s remark.

The comment was immediately slammed on Twitter — with even Clinton’s own Twitter account pointing out the irony of Trump earlier saying he had “more respect for women” than anyone else.
