On Monday night’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, President Barack Obama is making a surprise appearance and discussing a very important issue: snacks.

In a preview clip, Colbert explains that network broadcast regulations prohibit the president from endorsing a candidate during the interview, but he finds a tasty way to skirt the rules. “I would like to ask you about your choice in snacks,” Colbert deadpans as Randy, a character with a mustache.

Randy proceeds to have the president decide between two snacks that seem to eerily compare the major party candidates running in the current election. “Would you care for an extra fiber nutrient bar, which has traveled to more than 100 countries, or this shriveled tangerine covered in golden retriever hair filled with bile, that I wouldn’t leave alone with the woman I love?” says Colbert.

Unsurprisingly, President Obama is in a fiber type of mood.

Check out the preview above. Watch Obama’s full interview on The Late Show at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
