With One Direction on hiatus, fans have been praying for a reunion. Zayn Malik first branched out on his own, and Niall Horan dropped his first solo single at the end of September. Harry Styles, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson are staying busy. But Horan teased that the boys will come back together in the “foreseeable” future.

“For now, in the moment, we are kinda doing our own thing,” the singer said during a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show. “I’m doing this [his ‘This Town‘ single], Harry’s doing a movie [Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk]. Harry did a movie. You know, we’re all doing our own bits and pieces. Can’t really put a date on it, but it’s not gonna be 50 years away. It’s in the foreseeable [future].”

Horan echoed his previous statements to Ryan Seacrest. “Everyone’s kind of doing their own things,” he said a couple weeks ago. “I still talk to them all the time, but I definitely wouldn’t rule it out.”

For now, Horan is busy with his own pursuits. He said in a statement accompanying his new single, “Thank you to all the One Direction fans for your love and support as always. I’m looking forward to the next part of this journey together.”
