Once Upon a Time: Is Charming turning to the dark side?
Warning: This story contains major spoilers from Sunday’s episode of Once Upon a Time. Read at your own risk!
The Evil Queen isn’t the only one who may be turning toward the dark side this season on Once Upon a Time.
After the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) raised suspicions the cart accident that killed Charming’s (Josh Dallas) father was not actually an accident, Charming set out to get to the truth by making a deal with Rumple (Robert Carlyle). Here’s what he learned: Charming’s late father was already dead before the cart accident, having been stabbed. Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) pleads with Charming that family is more important and he shouldn’t seek vengeance for a decades-old crime. He tells Snow he’ll burn the evidence, but decides against it.
Does this mean Charming is about to head down the dark path of getting revenge, not justice, for his father’s death? We’ll find out in the coming weeks, but to be fair, this is exactly what the Evil Queen wants, to divide the town through psychological warfare. At Comic-Con, Dallas cautioned that the Evil Queen was going after everyone in Storybrooke. “She’s taking no prisoners,” he said after the panel. “She’s really doing some mental manipulation with everybody. It’s going to turn everybody inside of themselves and they’re going to have a lot internally to deal with.”
Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
