SNL: Lin-Manuel Miranda tweets behind the scenes look at episode
- TV Show
Lin-Manuel Miranda stuck his landing during his first appearance on Saturday Night Live, but on Sunday afternoon, the actor’s Twitter timeline proved to be almost as entertaining as his Oct. 8 hosting gig.
The Hamilton writer and star shared several behind-the-scenes videos and images from his time at Studio 8H, including a sneak peek at a promo shoot that took place as music guest Twenty One Pilots performed their sound check.
“You do your promo shoots DURING the musical guest’s sound check…hence Gene Kelly dancing to @twentyonepilots,” the performer wrote.
Additionally, Miranda teased an unaired sketch in which he appeared as a fortune teller machine.
“Not all sketches make it to air… but when my son came to visit he loved this booth and asked, ‘Dada’s house?'” he posted.
The Tony winner, 36, also shared a good luck video his nephews made for him prior to his appearance on the long-running NBC variety series.
“My nephews: good luck game ON POINT,” he tweeted.
Alec Baldwin, who signed on to recur on SNL as Donald Trump, posed for a selfie with the actor during rehearsals.
Though Miranda’s only hosted the show a single time, according to his tweets, he’s already found a friend in a member of the Five-Timers Club, as he recounted a run-in with Steve Martin that occurred backstage.
