Alicia Keys officially announced that her new album Here will be out Nov. 4 and dropped a new song, “Blended Family (What You Do For Love)” featuring A$AP Rocky, which appears on the collection
“I’m so excited for you to hear this song,” Keys wrote in an Instagram post about the song. “It means so much to me and our whole family. The understanding, compassion and support we’ve found is a powerful testament to the healing that comes when we choose love. Especially for the kids… the most important part of our lives.”
This year, Keys has released “In Common”, “We Are Here,” and “Back to Life,” which appears in the film Queen of Katwe.
“On this album, I’ve arrived Here,” Keys says in a statement. “A place where I’m willing to truthfully look at myself in the mirror and to also see the reality of who we have become in this world. The good, the ugly, the shadows and the light. I’ve come to realize that in order for us to grow and to understand and accept each other we have to recognize the complexity of ourselves. We have to be able to talk about it and meet each other where we are, Here.”
The album is available for preorder now.
