Kelly Clarkson has a message for the guy she ghosted on at age 18: she’s sorry.

On Monday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Clarkson participated in a round of “Celebrity Confessions,” explaining to host Ellen DeGeneres, “I’m almost afraid to tell you this, because I’m a horrible human. This is a horrible human story.”

Clarkson recalled how on her second-ever date, she went out with a man who was preoccupied with his height. “We get there, and I am super self-deprecating. I think it’s the funniest thing ever. To a point. Then it gets real mean to yourself,” Clarkson said, adding that her date was 5 feet 2 inches tall to her 5 feet 3 and a half inches tall.

“He proceeded to talk about his height for a solid hour,” Clarkson said. “I withstood an hour. Then I went to the bathroom and I left.”

After the audience laughed at her ghosting maneuver, Clarkson said, “I’m going straight to hell, I’m aware. It’s the worst thing I’ve ever done.”

She later added, “He was just sitting there, at a Bennigan’s. It was bad, y’all.”
