Kanye West delays Saint Pablo tour stops after Kim Kardashian's robbery
Kanye West has postponed two stops on his Saint Pablo Tour after his wife, Kim Kardashian West, was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, Live Nation announced Monday night.
A Tuesday show in Philadelphia will now take place Dec. 13, while Thursday’s show in the greater Detroit area will occur Dec. 22. Original tickets for those shows will be honored. The tour will resume as scheduled beginning Friday in Chicago.
Men masked as police officers robbed Kardashian at gunpoint in Paris on Sunday night. According to BFM TV, Kardashian was tied up and locked in her bathroom while the perpetrators stole two cellphones and approximately $10 million worth of jewelry.
Upon hearing the news, West stopped his set at the The Meadows Music & Arts Festival in the middle of a song. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, stop it. I’m sorry, there’s a family emergency,” he told the Queens, New York crowd. “I have to stop the show.”
The robbery shook the 35-year-old reality star. “Kim was terrified,” a source close to West told PEOPLE. “She was just hysterical when she talked to Kanye. He said she was really upset and it took him a few seconds to understand what she was saying to him. He wanted to get to her as soon as he could. He told her that he couldn’t care less about the jewelry; he’s just thankful that she’s okay.”
The Saint Pablo Tour resumes Friday in Chicago.
