John Oliver mocked Donald Trump on Sunday’s episode of Last Week Tonight for claiming he has a “winning temperament.”

Saying Trump’s performance at the first presidential debate last week “consisted mainly of an incoherent jumble of sniffles and nonsense, like a racist toddler coming out of dental surgery,” Oliver focused on the GOP nominee’s assertion that his demeanor is one of a leader.

“I think my strongest asset, maybe by far, is my temperament. I have a winning temperament. I know how to win,” Trump said during the debate.

“That is an incredible statement,” Oliver said after playing a clip on Sunday. “If he looked straight into the camera and said, I am a small Korean woman, it would be more believable.”

Oliver continued, saying Trump’s “winning temperament” was on full display in the days following the debate, as he cited unscientific online polls as proof he won the battle with Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. “This week, we then saw what a ‘winning temperament’ actually means: it’s a temperament that allows you to insist that you won something that you demonstrably lost,” Oliver said, explaining why online polls aren’t an arbiter of factual accuracy.

“The clear problem with online polls is that you can vote anonymously as many times as you want,” Oliver added. “That is how, when a British government agency held a ‘Name Our Ship’ poll, the people’s overwhelming choice was ‘Boaty McBoatface.’ It’s also how, when there was an internet vote on where Pitbull should perform, he ended up — and this is true — in an Alaska Walmart. And yet, Trump kept citing these nonsense polls.”

Oliver then focused on Trump’s battle with Alicia Machado, the 1996 Miss Universe winner Trump attacked after she was brought up by Clinton during the debate. During an interview with Fox News last Monday morning, Trump said, “She was the winner, and she gained a massive amount of weight, and it was a real problem. We had a real problem. Not only that, her attitude. We had a real problem with her. Hillary went back into the years, and she found this girl. This was many years ago. She found the girl and talked about her like she was Mother Teresa. It wasn’t quite that way. That’s okay. Hillary has to do what she has to do.”

“You can see them thinking, ‘What are you doing? Why are you doing this? Don’t you know it’s wrong to degrade former beauty pageant winners? We at Fox recently learned that due to the circumstances of Roger Ailes’ departure from this very company,'” Oliver joked of the Fox anchors.

“But Trump still wasn’t done,” he added, discussing Trump’s early morning tweet on Friday where the candidate wrote, “Did Crooked Hillary help disgusting (check out sex tape and past) Alicia M become a U.S. citizen so she could use her in the debate?” (There is no factual evidence that Machado has a sex tape.)

“That is a candidate for President of the United States urging America to check out a sex tape,” Oliver said. “Just do me a favor: look up into the sky right now. Higher. No, higher still. Do you see that? Way up there? Way up above the clouds? That’s rock bottom. And we are currently way down here.”
