Hollywood lost producer Gary Glasberg on Wednesday, who died in his sleep at 50 years old. The NCIS showrunner had his hand in other CBS shows, including NCIS: New Orleans and The Mentalist and produced NBC’s Crossing Jordan in the 2000s.

Remembered for being warm and kind, Glasberg was mourned by his former colleagues.

“Gary was our rock, our cheerleader, our team captain,” the NCIS cast and crew said in a statement. “He inspired us with his leadership, his creative instincts and keen insight. NCIS will not be the same without him, and each of us will miss his smiling face and unwavering humor, which lifted us every day.”

Former NCIS star and current Bull lead Michael Weatherly tweeted: “What sad a day this is. Gary Glasberg was a gentle man and gentleman loved by so many people. Send your love to his family.”
