The View: Whoopi Goldberg says this is probably her last season

Viewers won’t be getting Whoopi Goldberg’s view much longer.
On Friday, Goldberg appeared on The Wendy Williams Show and acknowledged that she has signed on for only one more season of The View and come next September, she most likely won’t be returning. “No, probably not,” she shared. “I have to do it, baby, because I have to go and grow. I got stuff to do, I got movies I need to direct, I got books I got to finish.”
Over the last few years, the ABC daytime talk show has seen its share of co-hosts come and go, but Goldberg has been a constant since she first joined The View in 2007. Despite being on the show for a decade, the comedian isn’t worried about it surviving without her.
“This was great and I love doing it, but it’s been awhile and they’re in their 20th season, they did this without me,” said Goldberg. “I’ve been here for half of it, but not all of it.”
Season 20 of The View kicked off on Sept. 6 with a new batch of additions, including Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Jedediah Bila. Even if this is her last go-round, Goldberg wants people to know that she hasn’t left yet.
“I’m not gone yet, so I’m still there now,” she said. “Don’t worry about it.”
