Terry Crews is obviously multi-talented. Not only is he an accomplished football star, but he’s also a hilarious comedic actor on shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine. On Thursday night, Crews stopped by The Late Late Show and demonstrated another hidden talent: He can play the flute.

“When I was a little kid, about eight years old, [my great aunt] said, ‘What instrument do you want to play?’ My brother said guitar, and I was just trying to get out of the house, so I said, ‘Flute! I want to play the flute,'” Crews explained. “For Christmas, there it was under the tree: A guitar for my brother and a flute for me. And my mother made me play the flute for like seven or eight years. I play the flute. I’m a flutist!”

Corden, of course, had a flute ready to go for him, and Crews immediately launched into a cover of the Shaft theme song. But it didn’t end there. In classic Late Late Show fashion, there were multiple guests on the couch; Crews was joined by Lucy Liu. After some prodding from Corden, Liu said that she can still perform some of her Kill Bill moves. So while Crews played the flute, Liu launched into the splits while Corden screamed in delight.
