Christina Grimmie won the iHeartRadio/Macy’s Rising Star Contest in May 2015, earning a slot at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Festival. The festival is now keeping her memory alive.

The iHeartRadio Music Festival shared a tribute video for the late Grimmie. “One year ago, she captivated our audience at the #iHeartFestival. Tonight, we remember the incredible life and music of Christina Grimmie,” the tweet reads. The video includes Grimmie covering Jason Mraz’s “I Won’t Give Up,” footage of fans excited to meet her, and Grimmie sharing inspirational messages.

“You are an extremely unique, individual person,” she says. “Don’t let those invalid opinions of others just bring you to the pits, okay?”

Grimmie, a YouTube star and Voice alum, was shot and killed June 10 after her concert in Orlando, Florida. She was 22 years old. Grimmie was mourned from all corners of the music community, including her Voice coach Adam Levine, her friend Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, and Meghan Trainor.
