Now that wait has ended, the confrontation can begin.

The season 2 finale of The Last Man on Earth left us hanging as Pat (Mark Boone Junior) and two Hazmat-suited cohorts headed to shore, guns drawn. Season 3 picks up right where we left off, as Pat reaches land. Are Phil (Will Forte) and company bracing for confrontation? They’re trying to, but mostly there’s just a lot of panicked running around, looking for a key attached to a plastic Mr. T so they can move the A-Team van parked outside. “Throats and balls!” shouts Tandy. “Aim at throats and balls!” He advises to target other areas, too, which you can see in this preview of the opening scene.

The season 3 premiere airs Sunday at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on Fox. If you are in need of a quick refresher, see what Forte had to say after the season 2 finale.

Will Forte stars as Phil Miller, the last man on Earth, who is just trying to get by in Tucson, Arizona.
