Stars — they are just like us!
Viewers around the world, whether it’s Jean-Ralphio Saperstein or Sansa Stark, have fallen in love with the kids of Stranger Things. Now, the ultimate child actor, Daniel Radcliffe, has joined in to share his awe of the talent of the young cast.
During a Wednesday interview on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, the Harry Potter actor got downright giddy when he was told that the Stranger Things kids would be on the show Thursday.
“Oh my god. Okay, can you, like, just tell them that I think they’re amazing and also just say, like, that as a person who started out acting really young, how are they so good?” he laughed. “I wasn’t that good when I was a kid. Have the decency to be less good at acting, please, when you’re so young.”
Well, it turns out the feeling is mutual. On Thursday, host Nick Grimshaw welcomed Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLaughlin as his guests and played the clip of Radcliffe singing their praises. While the three were ecstatic to hear how much of a fan he was of theirs, they also thought he was being a tad bit modest about his own acting work.
“He says, ‘I wasn’t that good when I was younger,’ — he was Harry Potter,” said Brown. “Let’s just review…I think he was doing pretty fine.”
Radcliffe wasn’t the only celebrity fan the cast was geeking out over during the show, as they shared exciting run-ins with the cast of Modern Family, Maisie Williams, and Terry Crews.
