Seth Meyers wasn’t the only late night host to mock Donald Trump’s birtherism comments on Monday night. Stephen Colbert joined in, too, and revived an old challenge he made for Trump on The Colbert Report. That’s right — contrary to what Trump surrogates like Chris Christie would have CNN viewers believe, Trump has been talking about birtherism so much and for so long that Colbert was covering it on his last show.

At his Friday press conference, Trump claimed not only that his opponent Hillary Clinton had started birtherism, but that he was ending it with a declaration that President Barack Obama was born in the U.S. This drove Colbert up the wall.

“Here’s the deal: You don’t get to flog this issue for five years and then act like you’re correcting everybody else!” Colbert shouted. “We’re not crazy. We were there! We all saw you do it! Even the people who support you saw you do it! It’s why they support you!”
