Jerry Seinfeld is no stranger to the Emmy Awards. He was a regular back in the 1990s, a.k.a. the days when Seinfeld ruled on NBC. But believe it or not, the 2016 Emmy Awards mark the first time he’s attended the ceremony in 18 years.

With his show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee nominated for Outstanding Variety Talk Series, Seinfeld made his return, goofing with E! host Giuliana Rancic about the term ad lib, and talk about his web series. On the show, Seinfeld has interviewed a great many comedians, including John Oliver, Chris Rock, Steve Martin, the late Garry Shandling, Will Ferrell, and even non-comic President Barack Obama.

Seinfeld has only won one Emmy in his career, sharing Outstanding Comedy Series at the 1993 ceremony with the show’s other producers. Whether it will be a triumphant return for Seinfeld on Sunday night is to be determined, but here’s hoping he and Julia Louis-Dreyfus gives us a Seinfeldthrowback moment to remember.
