No Emmy Awards love for Beyoncé. Lemonade directors Beyoncé Knowles Carter and Khalil Joseph lost the Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special to Thomas Kail and Alex Rudzinski for Grease: Live.

Lemonade was also nominated for Outstanding Variety Special, but it lost to The Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special at last week’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

This isn’t the first time Beyoncé has been nominated for an Emmy. Her halftime performance at Super Bowl XLVII was nominated in 2013, and in 2015 Beyoncé and Jay Z: On the Run Tour was nominated for Outstanding Special Class Program.

Grease: Live came out victorious over the 58th Grammy Awards, Adele Live in New York City, Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo, Grease: Live, The Kennedy Show Honors, and the aforementioned Lemonade.

Beyoncé’s HBO special received four total Emmy nominations this year, and lost in all categories.
