Bill Murray takes shots, sings to Rolling Stones while bartending in Brooklyn
You never know where Bill Murray might appear next, but the Caddyshack actor dazzled New Yorkers this weekend with his bartending skills during the opening of his son’s Brooklyn bar, 21 Greenpoint.
Murray started his shift at 7 p.m., serving shots and playfully singing along to music on Friday night. As shown in video shot by Gothamist, the street outside was flooded with people waiting to glimpse the actor in his new element. Attendees, including NY Daily News columnist Jeanette Settembre, posted more photos and footage from the scene inside to social media.
This wasn’t too much of a shocker when you consider Murray’s equally random appearances crashing a bachelor party and an engagement photo session.
In addition to serving the patrons, Murray was seen pouring himself tequila shots and singing to songs including “Miss You” and “Start Me Up” by The Rolling Stones. Take a peek inside 21 Greenpoint on his big night below.
Murray will make a repeat appearance as a 21 Greenpoint bartender Saturday night beginning at 7 p.m.
