LBJ: Woody Harrelson seen in clip from in Rob Reiner film
Ahead of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Thursday, a new clip was released from Rob Reiner’s LBJ, giving a first look at Woody Harrelson as the 36th president of the United States.
LBJ follows President Johnson as he faces the challenges of leading the nation in the aftermath of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, during the era of the Civil Rights Movement and the escalation of the Vietnam War.
In the footage above, Johnson shares a story from his childhood that puts a much different spin on the old adage of, “When life gives you lemons…”
LBJ, which also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh as Lady Bird Johnson, does not yet have a release date, but it comes on the heels of another high-profile portrayal of the titular politician — Bryan Cranston portrayed him on Broadway in 2014 in the play All the Way and reprised the role in the subsequent HBO adaptation.
