After being forced to leave the 9/11 memorial this weekend, Hillary Clinton’s illness has become a dominant news story, and Stephen Colbert even has a catchy nickname for it: “Lunghazi.”

As Colbert pointed out, this story is rather cartoonish (it may, in fact, hinge on Clinton’s refusal to drink water), so he recruited Cartoon Hillary Clinton to come discuss the event. Things got rather surreal right away, as the coughing Cartoon Clinton asked for her “inhaler” and took out an animated bong. After that, she attributed her coughing to “allergies” and subsequently coughed up a cat named Allergies.

“That is incredibly disturbing,” Colbert said.

“Well not as disturbing as the disappearance of the middle class!” Cartoon Clinton said.

Cartoon Clinton followed that up by literally coughing herself to death, producing a shimmering blue spirit form. Colbert was, needless to say, taken aback.

“What, this? No, Stephen, I’m just displaying total transparency,” Cartoon Clinton said.
