Warning: Spoilers ahead for the season 6 premiere of American Horror Story.

We’ve been to the Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, and the Hotel, and now American Horror Story has finally unveiled its theme for its latest outing.

The anthology series’ season 6 premiere was framed as a true crime-style TV docuseries called My Roanoke Nightmare, complete with reenactments of a couple who moves into an ominous house where some very strange things begin happening.

The revelation came after weeks of speculation and increasingly unsettling teases for season 6 (see you in our nightmares, lady with spider eyelashes!). FX CEO John Landgraf revealed over the summer that some of those promos — which featured a monstrous shadow, an eyeball inside a woman’s mouth, a mysterious house, and a demonic doll, among other creepy things — were “misdirects” to keep everyone in the dark about the season’s overarching theme.

In addition to learning the theme, fans also got to see some of the returning and new cast members for the new season. Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Angela Bassett, and Kathy Bates are all back, while Cuba Gooding Jr. is among the newcomers
