After breaking through in music as a member of One Direction to his solo career, Zayn Malik will next try to make his mark in the publishing world with his first autobiography.

Aptly titled Zayn, the book will give insight into the singer’s world with collections of personal stories, never-before-seen photos, notes, drawings, and thoughts, cataloging his childhood in Bradford, England to his superstar solo career. “I’m going to show you as much as I can so that you can judge me on my own terms, not on what the press or anyone else says,” writes Malik in his opening pages.

The “Pillowtalk” singer was first introduced to fans in 2010 when he auditioned solo for season 7 of Britain’s The X Factor, later grouped together with Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Harry Styles by judge Simon Cowell. The boy band, soon after named One Direction, placed third in the competition, but quickly rose to stardom after the release of their debut single, “What Makes You Beautiful.” In 2015, Malik left the group to release his solo album Mind of Mine, which debuted at No. 1 on both the U.S. Billboard Top 200 charts and Official U.K. Albums chart.

Zayn will be released by Penguin Random House in hardback edition on Nov. 1. Pre-orders for the book are now available.
