On the heels of Friday’s news that Saturday Night Live writer Mikey Day would be stepping in front of the camera next season, the show revealed Monday they’re adding two more new cast members: Comedians Alex Moffat and Melissa Villaseñor will also be joining the cast as featured players.
Villaseñor previously appeared as a top 16 finalist on America’s Got Talent and has done voice work for Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time, Comedy Central’s TripTank, and Fox’s Family Guy. Moffat’s an alum of Chicago improv theaters iO and Second City. He also wrote and starred in an NBC pilot in 2014.
These three will be replacing Taran Killam, Jay Pharoah, and Jon Rudnitsky, who will not be returning to SNL when its 42nd season debuts Oct. 1.
