Pete Davidson paid tribute to his dad, New York firefighter Scott Davidson, who died on 9/11, in a series of Instagram posts over the weekend.

The Saturday Night Live comedian first posted a funny photo of himself sharing a beer with his dad as a child. “Can’t believe tomorrow is going to be 15 years,” he wrote. “Missing the legend!!! Thank u all for ur kind words and support as always #werememberthem.”

Davidson followed up that post with an image of his dad’s old sneakers in front of a framed photograph. “One of my dads homies gave me his old dirty ass boots from work and a sick photo of him lookin like a young legend,” he wrote. “Apparently my dad wore sketchers how f–kin embarrassing!!”

Davidson similarly paid tribute to his dad last year with a series of tweets. “All jokes aside. There’s not a day that goes by where I dont think of u. Ur my hero. Cant wait to see u again someday,” he wrote in part.
