Pharrell Williams came out for the Toronto International Film Festival to lighten things up — especially after Taraji P. Henson teared up over the emotional sneak peek for her movie Hidden Figures.

The musical maven joined Kim Burrell and Lalah Hathaway to perform a special concert for those in attendance, featuring songs from the film’s soundtrack. Accompanied by back-up singers, a full band, and a choir, Williams sang some of the original songs he composed.

Henson and her fellow costars Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe also appeared to thank the crowd for joining them. “We couldn’t be more proud of this groundbreaking film — our film — Hidden Figures,” Monáe said.

Williams later took a photo with the actors and his fellow performers, writing on Twitter, “Surrounded by greatness.”

Williams, also a producer on Hidden Figures, said in a featurette for the film, “It’s a story about these women in the early 1960s who changed NASA…They were instrumental in winning the space race to the moon. I’m honored to be a producer, but this is important. I have to be a part of this.”
