Who better to get updates from on Taylor Swift’s next album than an official #squad member? Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Gigi Hadid said Swift was starting to work on her follow-up to 1989.

Hadid made the comments backstage at New York Fashion Week, where she walked the runway in the Tommy Hilfiger show while Swift watched from the audience. “She’s obviously such a great friend, and you know she is starting to go back to work in the studio again, and really made time to be here for me, and I am so grateful for that,” Hadid said.

Since 2006, Swift has released a new record every two years in either October or November. But the 1989 follow will break that string. Swift debuted the blockbuster record on Oct. 27, 2014, and last month, Scott Borchetta, founder of Swift’s label Big Machine, said no new collection was coming this year.

Swift supported Hadid at New York Fashion Week, and also sang along to “This Is What You Came For,” a song she wrote with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris.
