Mel B says Spice Girls reunion will happen with three members
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Spice Girls’ debut, and as a result rumors have been circulating of a possible reunion of some kind. Those rumors reached a fever pitch when Mel B, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell posed together on Instagram recently. So when Mel B stopped by The Late Late Show on Thursday night, host James Corden quickly got down to brass tacks: Is there going to be a reunion, even a three-piece one?
“We are gonna do something, us three,” Mel B said. “We’re gonna perform and celebrate together.”
The audience erupted in applause, but Corden needed to know the next answer: Where would such a reunion happen? Mel B said that since they’re British, they would probably start in London and work their way around and gauge interest. Corden’s follow-up was why it’s just the three of them, rather than the full five-piece with Mel C and Victoria Beckham.
