PICK OF THE NIGHT

Better Things

10 p.m., FX

Louie is still on an extended hiatus, but its spirit lives on in this new comedy co-created by Pamela Adlon and Louis C.K., who also directs several episodes. Adlon stars as Sam Fox, a working actress and single mother to three girls who is trying to survive the absurd and ordinary chaos of her life. You can also expect Lenny Kravitz, Julie Bowen, and David Duchovny to drop by as guest-stars.

REMATCH

NFL Kickoff 2016

7:30 p.m., NBC

The NFL season begins with a Super Bowl rematch between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos. Unlike that Super Bowl, there will be no Beyoncé — but Carrie Underwood is debuting a new theme this season.

SERIES DEBUT

Finding Prince Charming

9 p.m., Logo

Hosted by former boy bander Lance Bass, Finding Prince Charming is the first all-gay dating competition series. Thirteen suitors will live in a mansion and compete for an interior designer’s heart. Last month, Bass told EW this will be much more realistic than The Bachelor, but we’ve seen both seasons of UnREAL, so we’re rather incredulous. EAT, PRAY, BLOG

Haylie’s America

10 p.m., Cooking Channel

Food blogger Haylie Duff travels the country to visit trendy eateries while connecting with friends and family (and maybe even her famous sister, Hilary).
