Why dance like no one’s watching when you can dance like everyone’s watching and you just don’t care? That’s what one bright young star does in the new music video for Bomba Estéreo’s song “Soy Yo.”

Directed by Torben Kjelstrup and based on an idea chosen in a fan contest, the video follows an adorable overall-clad girl who demonstrates killer dance moves and impeccable self-confidence as she sashays on the streets of New York.

Lead singer Li Saumet told Billboard the video underscores the song’s message of self-love and positivity.

“The video concept was perfect for a song that touches on bullying and intolerance, issues that worry all of us,” she said. “The way the story in the clip handles those issues is very different and it gives our song a whole new meaning.”
