The cast of Bridget Jones’s Baby hit London Monday for the world premiere of the upcoming comedy. Renée Zellweger, Colin Firth, and Patrick Dempsey walked the red carpet outside of England’s Odeon Leicester Square, joined by a crowd of fans and costars such as Gemma Jones, Sarah Solemani, Emma Thompson, and Sally Phillips.
Star Zellweger, who will be playing Bridget Jones for a third time following the release of 2001’s Bridget Jones’s Diary and 2004’s Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, attended the event with her boyfriend Doyle Bramhall II, while Firth, who revists his role of Mark Darcy, had a date in his wife, Livia Firth. Dempsey, who joins the film franchise as Bridget’s American love interest Jack Qwant, brought his wife Jillian Fink, with whom he recently reconciled, as well as the couple’s three children, Talula, Sullivan, and Darby.
Due out on Sept. 16, Bridget Jones’s Baby sees our British heroine continuing on after breaking up with Mark, and finding out that she’s expecting a baby without knowing whether Mark or Jack is the father.
In the cover story interview for the Dec. 31, 2015 issue of Entertainment Weekly, Zellweger revealed that even the movie’s stars don’t know who the father is thanks to multiple taped endings.
“It’s kind of brilliant,” Zellweger told EW. “Nobody has said yet, and they’re keeping it that way.”
