Think the folks in the Hangover movies had a bad time? That attitude may be adjusted by a viewing of comedy-thriller Happy Birthday. Matt Bush (Adventureland) stars as the Los Angeles-dwelling Brady who, after he discovers his girlfriend has been cheating on him, departs to Mexico with his pal Tommy (Riley Litman). There, matters begin to go seriously awry when the pair’s guide (Erik Palladino) convinces them to buy hallucinogens from a local shaman (Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler at his most derangedly Steven Tyler-ish).

Written and directed by Casey Tebo, Happy Birthday costars Britne Oldford and Vanessa Lengies. The film will be released in cinemas and on VOD on Sept. 9.
