From the files of why not? During Thursday’s episode of The Late Late Show With James Corden, host James Corden and guest Danny McBride pulled out their biggest lapels to recreate Michael Bolton and Kenny G’s duet from the 1990 Grammy Awards.

Utilizing the specific language used to announce the musicians, crowd reaction shots from the broadcast (Michael Jackson and Brooke Shields, among others, make appearances), and even the same 4:3 aspect ratio of the Grammys telecast, Corden and McBride performed a letter-perfect rendition of the “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” duet. The original song was co-written by Bolton and recorded first by Laura Branigan. It later became a hit for Bolton in 1990, the same year as the Grammys performance.
