PICK OF THE NIGHT

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

CBS, 11:35 p.m.

Just two weeks after ending his axed Nightly Show at Comedy Central, Larry Wilmore returns to the late night scene as a guest of Stephen Colbert. They’re old pals, of course (they both served as correspondents on Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show), so expect their conversation to be familiar and frank — especially since Wilmore usually isn’t one to hold back.

CULT TV

Holy Hell

CNN, 9 p.m.

Executive produced by Jared Leto, this documentary centers on the nefarious goings-on within the now-defunct Buddhafield cult, a mysterious Hollywood spiritual community that rose to prominence in the ‘80s. The movie is directed by Will Allen, who himself was a member of the sect for 22 years, so it’ll surely be packed with intriguing details.
