Last week, rapper Vince Staples released his latest EP, Prima Donna. The rising MC from Long Beach, Calif., has shared a short film of the same name.

Directed by Nabil — who has previously worked on clips for Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Bon Iver, and more — Prima Donna follows Staples through a surreal series of events, soundtracked by snippets of his most recent songs. With its imagery of the paparazzi and late musicians including Amy Winehouse and Tupac, the video explores the trappings of celebrity in a similar manner to Staples' new EP.

Prima Donna follows Staples' excellent double album from 2015, Summertime '06. The EP features production from No I.D., DJ Dahi, and James Blake, for whom Staples will open on tour this fall.
