Stranger Things: Caleb McLaughlin sings Lion King tune
Having two young musical theater stars in your cast basically ensures that there will be a lot of showtunes in between takes.
When the cast of Stranger Things stopped by EW Morning Live on SiriusXM channel 105, stars Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) and Caleb McLaughlin (Luke) confirmed that they sang on set all the time. Before joining the Netflix series cast, both stars had been on Broadway; Matarazzo played Gavroche in Les Misérable and McLaughlin was Young Simba in The Lion King.
During their visit, McLaughlin decided ot show off his chops and belted out the chorus of “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” for the hosts. Check out the all-too-brief performance below, and then watch Matarazzo perform the national anthem at a New York Mets game.
