Ellen DeGeneres does Magic Mike parody with Oprah Winfrey and Olivia Munn
The female reboot has taken over Hollywood as Ghostbusters was recently released, a Sandra Bullock-led Ocean’s Eleven spin-off is coming, and now Ellen DeGeneres has made “Magic Michelle.”
On Tuesday, The Ellen DeGeneres Show will return for season 14 with a jam-packed show, which is set to include Oprah Winfrey, Simone Biles, and Channing Tatum giving a sneak preview of the upcoming Magic Mike Live Las Vegas show. With Tatum on the show and his Magic Mike XXL costar tWitch serving as DeGeneres’ in-house DJ, she felt it was time to release the parody trailer for “Magic Michelle.”
The video stars DeGeneres, along with some famous friends including Olivia Munn, who starred in Magic Mike, Tatum’s wife Jenna Dewan Tatum, Chrissy Teigen, and Winfrey (at least part of her). The group gets their awkward and clumsy dance on to Ginuwine’s “Pony,” which Tatum memorably stripped to in the first film.
The host said the video took hours to film and the pain she felt has her looking at strippers in a new light. “For some reason, I thought that it would be a good idea to have Jenna teach me some dance moves. She kept telling me to drop it way down low and so now my down low hurts really, really bad,” she said. “I have new respect for strippers — give them more than singles you guys.”
