On Wednesday, Saturday Night Live tweeted a call for host suggestions for the upcoming season. Since then, celebrities, including Crazy Ex-Girlfriend‘s Rachel Bloom and Difficult People‘s Billy Eichner, have been joining the conversation on Twitter. Some nominated their peers; some reacted to being nominated in their own special ways.

When Bloom was nominated by her Crazy Ex-Girlfriend costar Donna Lynne Champlin, she wrote, “I could finally do the impression of Kate Hepburn auditioning for Space Jam that was on my SNL audition tape!” When someone asked her for more detail, she wrote that in her impression, Katharine Hepburn auditions to play Bugs Bunny. Sadly, she never posted the video.

Eichner responded to his nomination by reminding everyone that he already did the show when he was 12, and included a photo of himself playing one of John Goodman’s sons in a sketch.

Simone Biles petitioned NBC to let the Final Five host, while Tony winner Cynthia Erivo nominated Supergirl star Laura Benanti. Laverne Cox and singer Sara Bareilles thanked the fans who mentioned their names along with the “SNLhost” hashtag.

The show has not yet announced its fall return date. See celebrity reactions to SNL‘s tweet below:
