The Office: Mindy Kaling imagines Michael Scott's take on Ryan Lochte
With Steve Carell‘s exit from The Office in 2011, viewers lost something precious: Michael Scott’s special perspective on things. From the never-ending “that’s what she said” jokes to his take on “bros before hoes,” Michael Scott always offered a unique outlook on trends and current events (let us never forget parkour). Mindy Kaling, who wrote and starred in The Office as Kelly Kapoor, may run her own show, The Mindy Project, now but she clearly still finds herself thinking about her former home.
The writer-actress shared a wish list of topics for good ole just regular ‘sticious Michael Scott. In a tweet posted Wednesday, Kaling shared the things she dreams of writing about for Carell’s classic buffoon. “Emojis, Frozen, uber, girl squads, brexit, Ryan Lochte, these are things I wish i could’ve written Michael Scott’s takes on,” she wrote.
Let us all imagine for a second what Michael would have to say about his use of emojis.
Kaling’s Officemate Jenna Fischer was all for it. “This is why we need an Office reunion,” she tweeted in response.
The mockumentary-style sitcom chronicles a group of typical office employees working 9-5 at the Scranton branch of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.
