Comedic icon Gene Wilder died Sunday at the age of 83, and Coldplay joined the growing list of celebrity mourners Monday by paying tribute to the late star at their Denver concert with a cover of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’s “Pure Imagination.”

The band later posted a clip to their Twitter page of their acoustic rendition of the track. In the video, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin sings, “Come with me and we’ll be in a world of pure imagination” while technicolor confetti rains down on the audience.

Wilder’s version in the movie takes place when the golden ticket winners first enter the incredible chocolate world inside of Wonka’s secretive candy factory. The scene became an instant staple in Wilder’s career.
