Anastasia Broadway musical debuts new artwork
Heart, don’t fail us now — the Broadway production of Anastasia just debuted new artwork for the upcoming musical.
Based on the 1997 animated film of the same name, Anastasia is set during the final days of the Russian Empire and in 1920s Paris (representations of both can be seen in the key art, with a palace on one side and the Eiffel Tower on the other) and follows a young woman trying to uncover the mystery of her past.
The production is being directed by Tony winner Darko Tresnjak (A Gentlemen’s Guide to Love and Murder) with a book by Terrence McHally (Master Class) and music and lyrics from Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime).
Anastasia, which is transferring to Broadway after a successful run in Hartford earlier this year, begins previews on March 23, 2017, with an opening slated for April 24. See the musical’s new artwork below.
