Even before he was a star, Paul Rudd was playing with power.

In a newly surfaced vintage commercial for Super Nintendo with ’90s post-apocalyptic vibes, Rudd is being blown away (literally — there’s a wind machine) in a baggy trench coat as he plays the new game console on the screen of an abandoned drive-in movie theater on a foggy night. He seems like a real rebel, even as his renowened charisma is on full display; he’s so good at playing video games that all the neighborhood kids approach in awe.

Also, since he’s Paul Rudd, he looks exactly the same as he does now.

If anyone can convince us to buy a Super Nintendo, it’s Paul Rudd.

Watch the commercial above. Mashable originally flagged the clip.
