Gene Wilder: Young Frankenstein tribute at Modern Family stage
- TV Show
In the wake of Gene Wilder‘s death, a truly poignant tribute in Los Angeles is being recognized.
ABC’s award-winning sitcom Modern Family films on the same 20th Century Fox stage where Mel Brooks’ 1974 classic Young Frankenstein, which starred Wilder, was filmed. On one of the stage’s exterior walls, there’s an impressive Young Frakenstein mural that has Wilder front and center, as shown by a photo shared by Modern Family executive producer Steve Levitan on Monday.
“Especially proud today to have this mural on our Modern Family stage — the same stage where Young Frankenstein was shot. RIP, Mr. Wilder. #genewilder,” Levitan captioned an Instagram photo of the artwork he posted on Monday.
