The Final Five met Beyoncé at the VMAs on Sunday night, presenting the Lemonade singer with Best Female Video during the MTV Music Video Awards.
Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez, and Madison Kocian appeared during the broadcast, fresh off winning a team gold medal in gymnastics at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Teammate Gabby Douglas was not in attendance after being hospitalized.
“The fifth member of our team, Gabby Douglas, is having medical issues, and unfortunately couldn’t make it tonight,” Biles said. “Feel better, Gabby.
Beyoncé won Best Female Video for “Hold Up,” and hugged each member of the Final Five before giving her brief acceptance speech.
In addition to the Final Five, gold medalist Michael Phelps also appeared as a presenter during the ceremony, and introduced Future.
The Final Five have experienced a whirlwind month of pop culture since the Olympics began, meeting Zac Efron, appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and seeing hit Broadway musical Hamilton.
